To be honest, there is nothing really special about what I do. I carry around a Flip camera with me everywhere I go, and if I find something remotely interesting, I record it. A five year old can do what I do. The camera is really basic. There are no special lenses, the zoom is quite limiting, and it has even broken on me a few times already. There are millions of other bloggers around the world with highly advanced equipment creating things at a much faster rate than I ever have time for. And their videos achieve “viral” status within weeks. I’m already satisfied if all my friends take the time to sit through what I make.
But nonetheless, I love shooting video. I created my site to act as a personal (yet public) weekly diary. These are personal moments that would otherwise be forever forgotten or at least horribly butchered by revisionist memory if not for my recordings. The best is viewing these videos after a long night of heavy drinking. It’s like watching an episode of your life you have never seen before.
