China is preparing to build a new railway line in Tibet near eastern Ladakh. This railway line will run from the southwestern province of Sichuan to Linzhi in Tibet. This railway line will also run near Arunachal Pradesh. On Saturday, China Railway announced the cancellation of contracts for two tunnels, a bridge and electrification work on the Sichuan-Tibet Railway. These works will be in the Yan-Linzhi section. After the names of the companies are determined, work will begin soon. China will spend $ 47.8 billion on this project.

Linjhi is also known as Ningchi. The area is near the Indian province of Arunachal Pradesh. The work on the Sichuan-Tibet railway line is the second such project for the railway link between Tibet and China. The Quinzhai-Tibet railway line had previously been completed. Like the prepared railway line, the new railway line will also be ready to cope with the mountainous difficulties. It is the highest area in the world. Work on the Sichuan-Tibet Railway begins in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province.

This railway line connects Tibet via Yan and Kamado. With the completion of this train route, the journey from Chengdu to Lhasa will be shortened from 48 hours to 13 hours. The newly constructed Yan-Linzhi railway section will have a length of 1,011 km and a total of 26 stations. The train travels on this route at a speed of 120 to 200 kilometers per hour. The project will cost $ 47.8 billion (Rs 3.56 billion). Through this railway project, China is looking closer to both Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.

Explain that China has claimed Arunachal as southern Tibet for years. But India has rejected its claim. China also has an airport in Linzhi. The airport here is one of its five airports in the Himalayas.
