The news of US soldiers dying in Syria is false, the OIR spokesman denied

Reports of four US military servicemen who died in an explosion in Syria have been rejected by Operation Inherent Resolution (OIR) spokesman Colonel Wayne Marotto.

Operation Inherent Resolution is actually the US military’s operational name for military interventions against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

Previously, the Syrian news agency Sana was quoted as saying that four US soldiers were killed in an explosion on the outskirts of Markada.

Colonel Wayne Marotto tweeted, “The news that US soldiers were killed in the explosion in Syria is false.”

Sana was quoted by civilians as alleging that four American soldiers were killed in a loud explosion on a highway in the western region. The agency quoted civilians as saying that the incident took place on the outskirts of the city of Markada between Hasakah and Dir ez-Zor. Shortly after the explosion, a security chain was set up in the area.
